OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to play a critical role in supporting the Training Team and Personnel Evaluation Management Staff (PEMS) within the mission centers. The HRG will primarily focus on leadership training programs and will be responsible for managing officer training, providing guidance on training requirements, coordinating training memos, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The HRG will collaborate with various offices and points of contact to facilitate the mission centers' training and language programs. This fast-paced position requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
REQUIREMENTS
The Human Resource Generalist (HRG) serves as the focal point for office training with a primary account focus on leadership training programs. The HRG's responsibilities are divided between the Training Team and Personnel Evaluation Management Staff (PEMS) team, with 51% of duties dedicated to the Training Team and 49% to PEMS. In close collaboration with various offices within the mission centers, the HRG oversees professional development, skill development, and foreign language training for officers throughout their careers. Core hours are 9am to 3pm. Flexible work schedule permitted outside the core hours. No weekend work expected and no extended hours. No travel or relocation is required.
1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the hiring process for new employees, including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding, ensuring all candidates meet clearance and qualification requirements specific to defense contracts.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) and federal employment regulations, including maintaining compliance with employment laws, security clearances, and required trainings under the defense contract.
3. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, mediate workplace conflicts, and maintain a productive and compliant workplace culture.
4. Compensation and Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits, manage compensation programs, and ensure they align with contract standards and defense industry practices.
5. Performance Management: Oversee employee evaluations, assist in setting performance goals, and work with management on performance improvement plans to meet organizational and contract objectives.
6. Training and Development: Coordinate and track employee training programs, especially those related to security and compliance, to ensure all personnel are prepared for their roles in defense-related operations.
7. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and secure employee records, including confidential data and security clearances, to comply with audit requirements and national security standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Previous HR experience or experience providing administrative support to any aspects of the Learning Enterprise (highly desired).
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
3. Strong writing skills, demonstrated by the ability to write clearly, quickly, and succinctly.
4. Exceptional organizational skills to maintain up-to-date metrics and respond to various taskings.
5. Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
6. Proven ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with coworkers, customers, and stakeholders.
7. Discretion in handling sensitive personnel information.
8. Comfort engaging in candid discussions concerning personnel information and career development.
9. Energetic, flexible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
11. Desire to learn administrative aspects of communicating with the field, including cable writing and documentation.
12. Experience using Learning Platforms, language management systems, and Personnel accountability software.
13. Familiarity with the Domain Registrar role for the Learning Platform.
14. Broad knowledge of business processes, including operational, collection, and analytic capabilities, as well as field and support activities.
