Position Summary
Caribou Thunder is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our team. You will support an office that operates at the highest levels of financial, logistical, acquisitions, and operational tradecraft in support of worldwide operations.

Complete Description
As a Finance Administrator, you will play a crucial role in executing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, documenting expenses, and supporting the financial operations of the office. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely financial processing, documentation, and reporting.
  • Independently execute reconciliations and banking documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures.
  • Voucher and document multi-line expenses, providing clear notations to address highlights and anomalies for easy interpretation of data.
  • Share responsibilities for the preparation of monthly financial vouchers for certification.
  • Maintain critical documentation and records, ensuring proper management and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Assist with archiving records and contribute to the transition towards digital management of eStatements and paperless processes.
  • Support the team in communicating financial information through various channels (verbal, written, or electronic).
  • Work extensively with bank statements and financial system reporting to identify discrepancies, create correction vouchers, and balance cash ledgers.
  • Research and prepare appropriate vouchers for the certifying officer to clear outstanding items and reconcile general ledgers.
  • Assist with bank account administration and related tasks.
  • Contribute to the production of metrics and budget projections.
  • Collaborate with the team to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and communications for dissemination.
Minimum Requirements
  • Intermediate proficiency in accounting, Excel, and process improvement.
  • Experience working with banking or other financial institutions.
  • Access to and knowledge of financial systems.
  • Ability to document and analyze current processes, identify efficiencies, and drive change management.
  • Familiarity with general ledgers, tracking funding, and reconciling balances.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and documentation.
Preferred Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
  • Experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Familiarity with automated process improvement and digital record management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Professional certifications in finance or accounting.
