Education: Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Experience: 3 – 10+ years of experience in a DoD or government contractor environment
OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking Aerospace Engineers to support the Space Systems Command (SSC) across multiple classified and unclassified programs. These positions will provide engineering, technical, and programmatic support for Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3), and Combat Power Systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in weapon systems development, space operations, and aerospace technologies supporting DoD and national security missions.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Provide engineering expertise in the design, development, integration, and testing of aerospace systems.
2. Conduct analysis on space system performance, risk assessment, and mission effectiveness.
3. Assist in system design reviews, technical assessments, and program execution.
4. Support acquisition and lifecycle management of aerospace technologies.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government and industry partners.
6. Prepare and deliver technical briefings and reports to senior leadership.
SENIOR REQUIREMENTS
7. Lead advanced aerospace engineering projects supporting space operations and SDA initiatives.
8. Provide strategic technical recommendations for system design, integration, and testing.
9. Develop innovative solutions for space control, domain awareness, and combat power applications.
10. Oversee risk analysis, system evaluations, and mission-critical performance assessments.
11. Serve as a subject matter expert in space system acquisitions, operational testing, and sustainment.
12. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical and programmatic challenges.
13. Engage with high-level DoD stakeholders, providing advisory support and recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Experience: 3–10 years in aerospace engineering, space systems development, or defense programs.
3. Experience with space acquisition programs, modeling & simulation, and system integration.
4. Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, technical reviews, and program management.
SENIOR QUALIFICATIONS
5. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
6. Experience: 10+ years in aerospace engineering, space systems, or DoD-related programs.
7. Expertise in weapon systems development, orbital mechanics, and space vehicle integration.
8. In-depth knowledge of DoD and Space Force acquisition processes.
9. Experience with classified space programs, SDA, DSC/OSC systems, and battle management technologies.
10. Active TS/SCI clearance required.
