OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking talented General Engineers at the Journeyman, Senior, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) levels to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) in support of Space Systems Command (SSC). This role will support the development, advancement, and sustainment of space domain awareness, combat power, and battle management systems for national security.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates will contribute expertise across multiple engineering disciplines to support classified and unclassified space programs, working closely with program managers, government stakeholders, and defense contractors.
1. Apply multi-disciplinary engineering expertise to support space systems, defensive and offensive space control capabilities, and battle management programs.
2. Provide technical advisory support throughout the system acquisition life cycle, including requirements development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
3. Perform system architecture assessments, risk analysis, trade studies, and system engineering support.
4. Ensure compliance with military specifications, DoD instructions, and industry standards.
5. Support Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and develop technical documentation such as acquisition strategies, concept of operations, and system specifications.
6. Contribute to cybersecurity, digital engineering, and modeling/simulation efforts as required.
7. Support classified programs and intelligence-driven technology development related to space security.
8. Conduct engineering assessments, technical evaluations, and risk mitigation planning for space operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or related field).
2. Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering projects in an acquisition or sustainment environment.
3. Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, MIL-STDs, and space system engineering is preferred.
4. Ability to analyze technical documents, conduct risk assessments, and provide engineering support.
SENIOR QUALIFICATIONS
5. Advanced degree in Engineering preferred.
6. Significant experience supporting space systems acquisition, design, or sustainment.
7. Expertise in systems integration, risk analysis, cybersecurity, or digital engineering.
8. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers, manage technical projects, and support high-level briefings.
9. Active TS/SCI clearance required.
SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT QUALIFICATIONS
10. Nationally recognized technical expert in space systems engineering, battle management, or space domain awareness.
11. Proven leadership in developing, integrating, and sustaining space programs for DoD or intelligence agencies.
12. Deep knowledge of space system architectures, advanced technology applications, and classified space operations.
13. Ability to influence technical policy, acquisition strategies, and next-generation space capabilities.
14. Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
15. Experience supporting Space Force, Air Force, NASA, or DoD space programs.
16. Knowledge of Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC), and C2 systems.
17. Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Engineering, Agile Development, and AI applications in space systems.
18. Experience working in Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments.
