About the role:
We’re seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our dedicated Outpatient Services team. In this key leadership role, you’ll support and guide clinicians in providing high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals with co-occurring disorders. You’ll supervise, coach, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure clients receive compassionate, coordinated, and culturally competent services.

The Clinical Supervisor in collaboration with the Director of Outpatient Services ensures the provision of quality care in an outpatient mental health clinic serving individuals with co-occurring disorders. The Clinical Supervisor will support the implementation and delivery of urgent care services at the outpatient clinic. They will provide weekly supervision to master-level clinicians, interns, or other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure clients receive comprehensive assessments and individualized service plans and provide group treatment services using evidence-based practices, as needed. They will also ensure service utilization benchmarks and reporting requirements for funders are met in a timely manner. As part of the Casa Esperanza, Inc. team, the Clinical Supervisor will provide services in a fully integrated, holistic, and collaborative manner using a team-treatment approach to ensure the coordination of all client services, both across Casa programs as well as with external providers. This integrated model aims to facilitate clear communication amongst all providers and eliminate duplication of efforts or conflicting approaches to care; detail necessary follow-up and assignments; and ensure wrap-around support services are in place to maximize treatment effectiveness and clinical outcomes
What you will do:
Responsibilities:
Clinical Services
- Maintain an up-to-date waitlist and prioritize the assessment and appropriate placement of all high-risk individuals.
- Monitor case assignments and ensure an appropriate caseload mix.
- Facilitate group interventions using evidence-based practices, as needed.
- Provide support to clients through individual therapy
- Utilizes case conferencing and the program team to coordinate and ensure client treatment plans are effective and appropriate.
- Support with clinical group supervision to ensure effective communication among team members, manage productivity, and quality assurance.
- Provide ongoing support as needed for the facilitation of the multidisciplinary team meeting and office-based addiction treatment meetings.
- Educate clients and their families about psychiatric and substance use disorder diagnoses; recovery and wellness support services; medication, including MAT for substance use disorders, psychotropic medications, and medications for other physical conditions; and ensure engagement with medication monitoring services and regular health maintenance.
- Build collaborative relationships within the community that support a strong recovery system of care.
- Work with Director of Outpatient Services to ensure that all clinical staff receive training and regular performance evaluations that support the delivery of safe, effective, evidence-based, and culturally competent care.
- Work with the Director of Outpatient Services team to plan, implement, and maintain the urgent care model.
- Provide back up on-call coverage, as needed.
- Complete all clinical documentation in the agency electronic record.
- Provide SOAP coverage, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Administrative
- Work closely with the Director of Outpatient Services to ensure Casa Esperanza Outpatient facilities meet all licensing, regulatory, accreditation, credentialing and funder standards and requirements.
- Maintains client and program records in accordance with agency, regulatory, and funder requirements and timelines
- Work with the Intake and Admission Manager and Director of Outpatient Services to maintain efficient workflow to meet program utilization goals and objectives and ensure timely billing.
- Work with Director of Outpatient Services to respond to internal and external data collection and reporting requirements.
- Support with facilitation of MDT, OBAT, and FUOP staff meetings.
- Complete intern progress recordings, evaluations, and all required school documents.
- Participate in any required site visits and ensure compliance with any funder requirements.
- Attend all relevant case conferences and staff meetings, including MDT.
- Provide weekly supervision to direct reports.
- Attend weekly supervision
- Attends all trainings and professional development opportunities as required.
- On call on a rotation schedule
- Ensure that all program components and evidence-based practices are delivered to the target population and address any barriers to implementation.
- Collaborate with the Director of Outpatient Services to oversee data collection and outcomes reporting, including progress on goals.
- Review and approval clinical documentations for clinical staff and interns in our EHR
- Support with creation, implementation, and delivery of Urgent Care services
- Support with SOAP enrollment and tracking of completion
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field required
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Two years’ experience working individuals living with co-occurring addiction, mental illness, and/or other trauma-related disorders
- Three+ years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting and program management experience
- Three+ years’ experience in clinical notes review and signing
- Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
- Knowledge of appropriate community resources
- Experience with homelessness, domestic violence, chronic disease, and incarceration
- Experience in crisis management and intervention
- Experience providing individual, family, and group interventions to the target population.
- Strong verbal/written communication
- Ability to work as both an effective team member and independently
- Knowledge & Practice of evidence-based practices
- Ability to meet the physical requirements and training requirements of the position
