Casa Esperanza, Inc. is a bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment provider serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions; overcome homelessness and discrimination; and achieve health and wellness through comprehensive, integrated care. About the role
Oversees the day-to-day activities at the program and ensure the safety and security of residents at all
times. Staffs the front desk, answers the phones, manages the daily client schedule, ensures that all client
activities are completed, and manages the safety and security requirements for the house. Responsible for
completing regular rounds, facilitating groups and other administrative duties as assigned. Provides crisis
intervention and medication monitoring. Must have computer/data entry skills. Must be English/Spanish
bilingual. All shifts (day, evening, overnight and weekends) are awake shifts.
What you'll do
Must be familiar with the structure and activities that occur during each shift
Implements all safety and security requirements for the house including fire drills, evacuation
procedures, alarm and camera monitoring.
Reports all safety and security concerns to appropriate authorities and staff.

Responsible for crisis intervention, counseling, and groups as needed
Must participate in all mandatory safety and security trainings
Must participate in regularly scheduled Program and All Agency meetings
Coordinates all scheduled client activities and refers clients to appropriate staff for support.
Monitors the front door and answers the front desk phone
Ensures that all windows and doors are secure, alarms are set.
Ensures that all items that are potentially dangerous are secured in a locked location, i.e. knives,
curling irons, irons, razors, etc.
Monitors all use of client medications including over-the-counter medications
Makes client medications available at prescribed intervals
Observes and records that all medication has been taken in the medication log
Secures all client personal property in the designated secure location and completes property log
Conducts walkthroughs every two hours and complete H.M. checklist and logs as required Ensure
all clients, visitors and staff sign in and out
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills necessary for the position:
Strong verbal/written skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work as member of a treatment team
English/Spanish Bilingual required
Bicultural preferred
Strong communication skills
Ability to communicate with clients, vendors, and external providers in a professional manner
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Ability to understand and manage moral/ethical boundaries with clients/staff
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position (see attached)
Ability to meet the training requirements of the position (see attached)
Experience preferred for the position:
Minimum (2) years’ experience as a Recovery Specialist/House Manager in a residential program
Experience working at a front desk area preferred
Minimum (2) years in recovery if applicable
Education/Training required:
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of addiction recovery process, or willingness to acquire within first six months of
employment
Counseling and Substance Abuse training
CPR Certification
ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Valid Driver’s License
Schedule:
Full Time (40 hours) Overnight
Monday to Friday 11pm to 7am

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

The pay range for this role is:
18.50 - 24.50 USD per hour (Latinas y Niños Center)
