About Casa Esperanza
Casa Esperanza, Inc. is a bilingual/bicultural behavioral health treatment provider serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and other chronic medical conditions; overcome homelessness and discrimination; and achieve health and wellness through comprehensive, integrated care.
About the role
Casa Esperanza is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform various tasks related to data collection, data management, data analysis, and evaluation for a growing Research and Evaluation Department. The research and evaluation assistant will work in collaboration with the Director of Research and Evaluation to ensure that Casa is meeting enrollment and follow-up expectations for each grant, as well as providing support for preparing reports, completing and submitting administrative paperwork, and complying with all ethical, data security, and confidentiality requirements.
This role will provide support for ongoing evaluation and research projects, including administrative support, data collection, assisting with creating web surveys or other data collection instruments, data entry, following up with study participants, data analysis and visualization, and performing data quality assurance tasks.
Casa’s research and evaluation work is aimed at identifying gaps in services and improving care for patients at Casa Esperanza, Inc.—and more broadly within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts—but also contributing to the body of knowledge available both nationally and internationally on the unique challenges and strengths of the Latinx community in addressing the behavioral health needs of underserved Latinx individuals and families. Casa currently collects data for federal grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Department of Justice, and Office of Minority Health; Ryan White grants; as well as state grants through the Department of Public Health. Current projects include integrated behavioral health and primary care services, medication-assisted treatment, re-entry services, supported employment, HIV services, peer recovery supports, and housing search and stabilization initiatives.
