Position Summary: The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.  This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and completing necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Will diagnose, repair, and maintain company vehicles and equipment.

·         Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, etc)

·         Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

·         Order parts or materials as needed.

·         Respond to emergency calls when equipment breaks down on site.

·         Will work closely with the field team to stay ahead of maintenance needs.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

·         Prior experience as a mechanic working on auto, diesel, or heavy equipment.

·         Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.

·         Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

·         Must possess strong problem-solving skills.

·         Must be committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

·         Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends based on project or business need.

Environmental and Physical Demands:

This position will be exposed to outdoor elements to include but not limited to extreme heat and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, sleet, wind, uneven terrain, road noise and traffic.  Will routinely work around heavy equipment and tools with moving mechanical parts. This position requires lifting materials in excess of 50lbs.
