Position Summary
The PMO Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of client-facing IT consulting engagements by leading a team within the Program Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for establishing and scaling project governance, delivery frameworks, and performance metrics to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of technology solutions. The PMO Lead partners with Senior Leadership and delivery teams to optimize resource allocation, mitigate risks, and ensure client satisfaction across a diverse portfolio of IT transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement a PMO strategy aligned with IT consulting delivery models and client expectations.
- Lead a team of project and program managers delivering enterprise IT solutions (e.g., cloud migration, ERP implementations, cybersecurity, digital transformation).
- Define and enforce PMO governance, delivery standards, and scalable methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Portfolio & Program Oversight
- Manage a portfolio of complex, multi-phase IT consulting projects across industries such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and government.
- Monitor project health, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Experience and understanding of the operational tools for project budget management.
- Forecasted Hours and the associated routine compliance to proactively manage projects and mitigate impacts as able.
- Ability to lead the portfolio management and own the revenue and billing forecast.
- Routine compliance and review for unbilled milestones, aging backlog, cycle time, etc.
- Provide executive dashboards and insights to leadership on delivery performance and strategic risks.
Process & Delivery Excellence
- Standardize project delivery processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, ServiceNow).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and reduce time-to-value.
- Financial acumen regarding the P&L from revenue, gross profit, and gross margin.
- Understanding of cause and effect of the various metrics that impact the P&L and ability to be agile proactively(as-sold vs as-delivered).
- Ensure compliance with client SLAs, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architects, Delivery, and Support teams to ensure seamless project initiation and execution.
- Act as a senior escalation point for delivery issues and client concerns.
- Build trusted relationships with client executives and internal stakeholders.
Talent Development & Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing PMO team with deep IT consulting expertise.
- Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and client-centricity.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and professional development across the PMO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in IT project/program management, with 5+ years in a PMO leadership role within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Proven success in leading enterprise IT projects and building PMO capabilities.
- Strong understanding of IT delivery models, systems integration, and client engagement.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

The pay range for this role is:
101,000 - 140,000 USD per year (Remote)
