Job Purpose:


To serve all tax department technology needs. The primary purpose is to ensure all tax-related processes, such as reporting, compliance, and data management are efficiently and accurately completed using technology solutions. 

 

 

Essential Functions

  • Implementation, maintaining, and improving tax software systems including OneSource & AvaTax for communications
  • Integration of a new ERP system with tax functions & software
  • Collaboration and communication with IT, finance, accounting and other stakeholders
  • Understand and document business/accounting processes that affect tax calculations
  • Data management and reporting for the department
  • Identifying opportunities to utilize AI to analyze large datasets to provide insight, forecasting, trends, and optimizing tax strategies


Education

  •  Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent


Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses

  • Degree in Accounting or Information Systems


Experience

  • 3-6 Years


Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive software experience with OneSource, AvaTax, Vertex, and other indirect tax software systems ORACLE, SAP, Great Plains or major ERP system software
  • Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) 
  • Indirect and Income Tax knowledge
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating orally and in writing with all levels of management
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to seek out and suggest alternative procedures to meet objectives and strict deadlines
  • Able to solve for short and long term issues


Due to U.S. Government requirements applicable to foreign-owned telecommunications providers, non-US citizens may be required to submit to an extensive government agency background check which will necessitate disclosure of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information.

The pay range for this role is:

100,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
