Position:                     Application Developer IV

 

Worksite Location:   This position reports to the Cincinnati, Ohio office but requires that the employee be willing to relocate to assigned worksites at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and reside within commuting distance of the current assigned worksite. Hybrid work may be permitted.

Duties:                        Serve as a developer, contributing to all facets of the software development life cycle (SDLC), and could potentially lead others on assigned projects and tasks. This position will perform development tasks for designated IT projects and applications including but not limited to Web-based application development, orchestration, automation, database design and development, and custom application development. The position may also be responsible for maintaining critical operational application systems that support the business or business customers and work incidents to resolution. Develop complex Java/J2EE systems including analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of solution; troubleshoot, enhance, support, and maintain 24/7 secure web and batch applications; apply Java development best-practices to new and existing code; operate at an extremely high technical level, take direction from managers and senior members of the team and mentor less experienced personnel; may participate in some application architecture functions; create and may review unit and test plans; identify opportunities to improve the testing process; develop basic and detailed program specifications; ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved; design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk; lead technical staff and clients to investigate, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems; identify and manage interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations; conduct analysis of organizational needs for the development and implementation of application systems; monitor operating efficiency of existing application systems; proactively identify opportunities for improvement and recommends technical solutions; demonstrates good understanding of the business needs driving the projects. Requirements:           Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 6 years of experience in application development. 5 years of experience architecting and designing systems in large and complex environments within the financial industry. 5 years of experience with unit testing and testing frameworks such as jUnit and Selenium. 5 years of working experience in SQL and database design. 5 years of experience designing secure web applications. 5 years of experience with application and system architecture. 5 years of experience in system integration and business process modeling. 5 years of experience using technical, logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 5 years of experience using planning and organizational skills. 5 years of experience using verbal and written communication skills. 5 years of experience leading a project team. 5 years of experience in Java, J2EE, and Jquery application development. 5 years of experience programming, and systems design/analysis. 5 years of experience with Linux or Windows Server environments. 5 years of experience in security implications of web applications. 3 years of experience in formal software development methodology (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum). 3 years of experience with Agile Methodology. 3 years of experience with each of the following: XML Schema, AJAX, XSLT changes. Ability to collaborate with other developers and other team members. Advanced technical expertise in architectural design, development, and implementation with specialization in multiple technology disciplines, platforms, and applications with Java and Shell.

The pay range for this role is:

125,200 - 178,500 USD per year (CBTS Merchant St. HQ)
