Position Overview


CBTS is seeking a high-performing Assistant Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting for a dynamic and growing organization. This role is ideal for a candidate at the high end of the manager level or with prior assistant controller experience, who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys mentoring a team.


Key Responsibilities


• Lead and manage daily accounting operations, overseeing a team of ~8 accountants.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

• Prepare and review financial reports in accordance with GAAP.

• Support internal and external audit processes.

• Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to support budgeting and forecasting.

• Drive process improvements and support system enhancements.

• Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.


Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA not required).

• Proven experience in financial reporting and general ledger management.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).

• Experience with Great Plains and/or OneStream is a plus, but not required.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
