Job Purpose: Network Engineer will be responsible for network infrastructure discovery, design, implementation, and handoff to operations for network build projects. Also responsible for working and communicating with project managers on project status and timelines. This role requires deep expertise in DNS, CDN and traffic management strategies.
Essential Functions:
- Design & Implement CDN solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability identify and implement automation efficiencies within workflow processes
- Create, visualize, and scale complex routing relationships between records and policies with easy to use global DNS features
- Create architectural frameworks to reduce latency, optimize load balancing, and support global traffic
- Set routing policies to pre-determine and automate responses in case of failure, like redirecting traffic to alternative zones or regions
- Manage multi-cloud DNS networking routing including latency-based routing, geolocation routing, and health checks
Education:
Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:
• CCNP and CCDP, CISSP, CCIE Written or CCIE
Relevant Work Experience:
8 to 10 years in related field
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Akamai and/or Infoblox
- Experience in multi cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GPC)
- Automation & Scripting (Python, Ruby, or Javascript)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with IaC
- Cisco switching (6500, 4500, 3750/3560) Nexus 7k / 5k /2k experience highly preferred
- Cisco routing (ASR, 7200, ISR G2) Network IPS / IDS is a bonus Cisco ASA Firewalls / F5 LTM / Cisco WAAS is a bonus
- Understanding enterprise change control processes as well as ITIL methodologies
- Experience using network analysis, management, and performance monitoring tools to plan for growth, diagnose problems, and determining traffic patterns.
- Planning implementations, building comprehensive test plans, troubleshooting methodologies, and Cisco design framework.
- Initiative and willingness to learn are keys to success in this position.
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP v4 VLANs, PVLANs, Layer 3 switching, ACL's, Spanning Tree (MST / PVST), CatOS / IOS / NX-OS Cisco Nexus vPC, VDC, FabricPath,
- FEX technologies.
- Working knowledge of WAN and DMZ technologies.
- Complete understanding of EIGRP / BGP / OSPF and managing routing in an enterprise environment.
- High-level switching/routing troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of network and server bandwidth management technologies.
- Expert knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls.
- Expert knowledge of OCx,
- Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet / 10Gb Ethernet, and other bandwidth link specifications.
- Preferable expert knowledge of infrastructure cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, MM / SM / OM3 fiber) and corresponding transceivers (SFPs, GBICs, etc.).
- Special consideration is given to the ability to script and use automation to perform tasks.

The pay range for this role is:
110,000 - 130,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
