Job Purpose:


This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income, sales, use, property, and regulatory tax calculations and returns. The position is also responsible for the management of the tax calendar, reviewing tax payment requests, and account reconciliations.

 

 

Essential Functions

  • 35% - Preparation and review of reports, support, and payment requests for tax compliance in Sales/Use and Regulatory areas
  • 20% - Tax accounting support including account reconciliations with analysis and resolution of discrepancies
  • 15%- Preparation of reports and workpapers for International VAT returns
  • 10% - Preparation and review of property tax returns including the reconciliation of book fixed asset records to tax basis
  • 10% - Researching and resolving tax issues with taxing authorities and customers  
  • 10% - Assisting in federal, state, and local income tax compliance including analysis and support


Education

  • Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Experience

  • 3-6 Years


Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Fixed Asset Management
  • Experience with sales tax engine software such as OneSource or AvaTax
  • Advanced data management capabilities in Excel or PowerBI
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating orally and in writing with all levels of management
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to seek out and suggest alternative procedures to meet objectives and strict deadlines
  • Ability to exercise judgment

The pay range for this role is:

80,000 - 100,000 USD per year (United States)
