JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of the Sales Support Specialist is to provide support to CBTS Senior/Account Managers and Equipment Specialists by quoting and ordering hardware and software, scheduling installation for those products, and providing overall sales support surrounding the delivery of CBTS products and services.
Essential Functions
Work directly with Account Managers and customers to design, price, and order hardware, software, and services (50%) Work with various distributors and manufacturers to obtain pricing and ensure delivery; Follow procedures to ensure products and services are billed correctly for one-time charges and recurring maintenance and managed service contracts (20%) Work with various groups inside CBT and CBTS to schedule and coordinate installation and professional services (15%) Prepare quotes for product maintenance services, both through CBTS and various manufacturers (15%)
Experience
3 to 5 years of experience preferred Previous experience in a sales or sales support role, preferably in a technical field Experience interfacing with customers Working knowledge of various product lines, such as Avaya, Cisco, HP, IBM, Dell, Lenovo, EMC, Juniper, Oracle, and/or other IT and telecom-related manufacturers would be advantageous Previous experience implementing or supporting any of the aforementioned product lines
Education
Two years of College/Technical School resulting in an Associate's Degree or equivalent
