The Billing Reconciliation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring billing accuracy and revenue integrity at CBTS. This individual is responsible for conducting daily audits to ensure that all active customer services are properly billed. They will collaborate closely with provisioning, customer service, and billing teams to resolve discrepancies, initiate billing adjustments, and provide regular reporting on revenue variances.
Essential Functions
· Perform daily audits to reconcile active customer services with corresponding billing records.
· Identify discrepancies between service provisioning and billing; document and report findings.
· Create and manage billing tasks to initiate new charges or remove services as necessary based on provisioning updates.
· Collaborate with provisioning teams to understand service changes and ensure accurate billing alignment.
· Generate and distribute weekly discrepancy reports, including detailed breakdowns of associated revenue variances.
· Track and analyze recurring discrepancies to identify process gaps and propose improvements.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards regarding billing.
· Support month-end and quarter-end reconciliation processes as needed.
· Participate in internal audits and respond to external audit requests related to billing activities.

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· 3+ years of experience in billing, auditing, financial reconciliation, or similar role
· Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail
· Organizational skills and ability to prioritize; must be able to lead multiple billing activities/projects with varying timelines
· Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
· Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, subtotals, filters, formulas including vlook-ups); must be comfortable with large amounts of data
· Demonstrated problem solving, confidence and decision-making ability to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines using analytical capabilities
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the role
· Experience in telecommunications, IT services, or managed services is preferred
