SQL with PostgreSQL DBA knowledge

Database DBA Roles:-

1. Design stable, reliable and effective SQL & PostgreSQL Server databases
2. Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
3. Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
4. Gather SQL Server user requirements and identify new features
5. Develop technical and training manuals for users of SQL Server
6. Provide SQL Server data management support to users
7. Provide guidance and support to Application Developers following best practices for SQL Server (T-SQL) query optimization.
8. Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
9. Install, tune, implement and upgrade SQL Server installations
10. Upgrade and improve application schema and data upgrades
11. Process work accurately and in a timely manner
12. Pay attention to detail at all times
13. Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
14. Collate, prepare and present statistical performance and usage information for internal and external use
15. Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
16. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
17. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
18. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
19. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
20. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
21. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

Responsibilities:-

1. Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
2. Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
3. Proven work experience as a Database developer
4. In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
5. Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
6. Hands on experience with SQL along with PostgreSQL
7. Familiarity working with .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML and Oracle
8. Excellent analytical and organization skills
9. An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
