Job Description: Postgres Database Administrator.

3+ year experience with Postgres as a Database Administrator (DBA).

• 1+ year experience with troubleshooting, performance enhancements, latency, capacity, and availability issues in a production support environment
• Typical DBA acitivites

⁃                     Backup and recovery of Postgres DB

⁃                     Monitoring and handle alerts

⁃                     Replication build, monitor and troubleshoot

⁃                     Performance monitoring and tuning

• Experience in Linux shell scripting
• Working knowledge of native Replication in PostgreSQL
  
  DBA should come for office for a hybrid set up and willing to work in shifts.

• Shift1: 9am to 6 MST general shift
• Shift2: 2pm to 10 pm MST
• Shift3: 6am to 2pm MST
• • Rotation, shift will be rotated.

The new resource should support one of the shifts and every 6 weeks will have a weekend shift.

These positions are operations database administrator which requires to support 24X7 for mission critical databases.

• Experience using Ansible, GitHub, Unix Shell Scripting, Python or Grafana is a plus.
• Good communication and learning skills
• Good collaboration and inter personal skills
• Candidates need to have strong experience in Oracle database backup and recovery.
• Configure alerts, thresholds and monitoring Oracle database.
• Actively participate & drive major incident management troubleshooting calls and keep track of ongoing issues and be on top of it.
• Identify automation opportunities, resource saves and process improvement avenues. Identify re-occurring issues, and make sure of proper root cause analysis and problem management.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other stake holders for adopting new tools/utilities/features. Day to day Change, Incident Management, problem management and explore options for optimization/HA/process improvements.
• Enhance observability dashboards & improve alerting
