About the role

  • The Regional Director for the Pacific Northwest is a catalytic leadership role focused on growing and sustaining the mission of the CCO in Washington, Oregon, and parts of Idaho. This individual will lead the region through a strong emphasis on fundraising, strategic growth, and ministry oversight.
  • This is a full-time position (40 hours weekly).

Purpose of the position: 

  • At the core of this role is the ability to cultivate and expand a network of donors, churches, universities, and community partners to fuel regional ministry. The Regional Director will lead the region’s fundraising strategy, personally secure financial support, and build systems to sustain long-term growth.
  • This position also oversees the recruitment, supervision, and development of Area Directors and Ministry Supervisors, while identifying and launching new campus ministry opportunities in partnership with local churches and community leaders. It requires a leader who is entrepreneurial, relationally strong, mission-driven, and committed to developing others for Gospel-centered impact on college campuses.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience: 
  • 8 years of ministry experience required.
  • 5 - 10 years of campus ministry experience preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Support raising experience preferred.

Job Description:


Resource Development ( 60%)

  • Develop and maintain Regional Advisory Council.
  • Develop new networks to expand CCO Donors and partnerships with churches, universities, and community boards. 
  • Develop and lead the region’s fundraising strategy, ensuring excellence in communication to donors.
  • Raise the necessary funds to carry out the regional ministry vision.
  • Partner with the Strategic Partnership Department, Area Directors/Ministry Supervisors to ensure the development of new CCO ministries.
  • Ensure the development of Community Boards to support campus ministry where applicable. 
  • Coordinate and conduct quality events which warrant the investment of a participant’s personal and corporate resources.


 Leadership Development (20%) 

  • Cast vision for reaching students within the region.
  • Ensure the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and placement of staff within the region.
  • Supervise, develop, and evaluate staff, providing resources and experiences needed to implement the vision.
  • Lead regional staff in conducting events, including student weekend events, recruiting events, staff development, leader training, and more. 

 

Ministry Development  (20%)

  • Cultivate new contexts for CCO campus ministry in the region. Executing our Campus Ministry Strategy (5Es) 
  • Ensure proper management of staff from Area Directors and Ministry Supervisors, and Campus Directors where applicable.
  • Visit areas and ministries as needed, including routine and emergency crisis visits.
  • Assess local areas and ministries to ensure ministry is carried out with excellence.
  • Ensure a plan is in place to grow in the region, including multicultural students and other focus ministries.
  • In collaboration with Staff Development Department and Talent Acquisition & Mobilization Team, ensure there is a recruitment strategy for staff.

**CCO partnership positions use a shared funding model. Partnership institutions contribute a portion towards salary and total employment costs and CCO staff people are responsible to raise support for the remainder. This amount varies based on partnership and salary needs.**
