About the role
- The Controller/Director of Finance owns the full accounting function — from general ledger to audits — ensuring strong controls, reliable reporting, and a culture of excellence.
- This is a full-time position (40 hours weekly).
Purpose of the position:
- Responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position addresses a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, payroll, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Controller/Director of Accounting is responsible for supervising and managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting required.
Job Description:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of CCO's financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
- Manages inquiries from the CFO and CCO managers, directors, and staff regarding financial results, special
- reporting requests, and the like.
- Supervises the finance department staff to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
