CData Software

Senior Product Operations Manager (AI-Native)

About CData Software, Inc.

CData is the data layer between AI and ROI—delivering the connectivity, context, and control that make enterprise AI more accurate. One platform for live access and data replication across 350+ sources, semantic intelligence that ensures context-aware responses, and built-in governance for every AI-to-data interaction. Powering AI and analytics workloads for Anthropic, Databricks, Microsoft, Google, Palantir, and more than 10,000 customers worldwide.

Behind that impact is a global team of passionate problem-solvers, engineers, and innovators who are redefining what’s possible in data connectivity.

Headquartered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, CData has over 500 team members, with offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. We take pride not just in what we build, but in how we build it: together, with curiosity, creativity, and a shared drive to push boundaries.

About the role

The Senior Product Operations Manager will help lead CData’s transformation into an AI-native product organization. This is not a traditional Product Operations role. We are seeking a systems thinker and builder who views AI as infrastructure, not a feature.

This role will directly influence a global Product and Engineering organization responsible for multiple product lines serving 10,000+ customers. You will design the operating architecture that scales our next phase of growth, with executive backing to evolve how Product and Engineering operate. You will not be retrofitting process; you will architect it.

Success in this role requires a builder mindset: someone who instinctively automates before documenting, designs operating models the way others design software, and understands that governance, analytics, and communication systems are force multipliers, not overhead.

If you think in workflows, data pipelines, and AI agents, not meetings and status reports, then this role is for you.

What you'll do

AI-Native Product Lifecycle Transformation

  • Redesign and operationalize the end-to-end product lifecycle to embed AI across planning, design, development, testing, documentation, support, and release workflows.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to create playbooks for AI-native product development.
  • Define and track productivity, quality, and velocity metrics that measure AI-driven leverage across the product lifecycle.

Product Operating System Architecture

  • Define and evolve the architecture, tooling, and systems that support an AI-native product lifecycle, including analytics platforms, automation tools, and developer productivity frameworks.
  • Build and deploy automation and agent-driven workflows that reduce manual overhead and increase execution speed, while also enabling others to build through templates and tooling.
  • Codify operating models into scalable systems, standards, and repeatable processes across teams.
  • Drive cross-functional adoption through enablement and training.
  • Ensure measurable improvements in cycle time, decision quality, and operational clarity through AI adoption.

Product Intelligence & Decision Systems

  • Build AI-assisted roadmaps and launch communication systems that connect product strategy through execution and go-to-market delivery.
  • Design real-time visibility for leadership into product velocity, adoption, monetization, and AI-driven productivity impact.
  • Develop analytics pipelines, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that generate actionable insights.
  • Improve data quality, governance, and accessibility across Product.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of demonstrated success and impact in an Ops or Product Management role. Exceptional candidates from adjacent disciplines will also be considered.
  • Comfortable designing, prototyping, or directly building AI-enabled workflows using modern tooling (LLMs, orchestration frameworks, APIs, automation platforms).
  • Strong analytics experience (BI tools, experimentation frameworks, SQL, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills with a strong affinity towards storytelling with data.
  • Experience scaling operating systems in multi-product SaaS environments strongly preferred.

Travel Required: Potential travel to NC headquarters, customer events, etc. on an as needed basis for work purposes may be necessary.
