About the role

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for working day-to-day to process finance related transactions and drive our financial operations from within our growing finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for several processes, procedures, projects and efforts within our finance function and will report directly to the Director, Finance & Controller.

What you'll do

  • Oversee theAccounts Payable (AP) process, which includes vendor set-up, processing of expense invoices, coding invoices into NetSuite, and processing biweekly AP payments.
  • File annual 1099s for all applicable vendors.
  • Manage Concur and process related expense reports each month including corporate card and employee reimbursement expenses.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations to support an efficient and accurate month-end close process including, but not limited to, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses,etc..
  • Participate in Ad Hoc projects and other tasks as required.
  • Develop relationships with other employees throughout CData to drive excellent communication between the finance team and the functional teams across the organization.
  • Assist with annual financial statement audit
  • Create and update process narratives for all related finance areas

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Finance/Accounting experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar global accounting system is beneficial.
  • Experience processing accounting transactions and reconciliations to support month end close
  • Effective communication skills and natural enjoyment of communicating with the team across the organization and external to the business (customers, vendors, etc.)
  • Process oriented thinker with great organizational skills.
  • Great attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
