About the role

  • CD Peacock, a luxury jewelry company, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Receiving & Inventory Coordinator to serve in our shipping and receiving area. 

What you'll do

  • Receive and process merchandise promptly to ensure client satisfaction and meet delivery deadlines.
  • Log and open packages following company procedures.
  • Verify, inspect, and identify merchandise against vendor invoices.
  • Create detailed descriptions of merchandise in the point-of-sale system.
  • Generate merchandise tags.
  • Photograph received merchandise for the point-of-sale system.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Professionals and Vendors to complete jewelry orders and returns.
  • Respond to email inquiries from staff and vendors.
  • Assist with company inventory tasks, including counting, scanning, and verifying.
  • File and maintain merchandise intake information and paperwork.
  • Create case assignments for the Receiving area and Headquarters.
  • Proactively review in-progress inventory, follow up with contacts, and create action plans for distribution.
  • Provide event support and administrative facilitation, including linking sold items to vendors at events and streamlining the process for store staff.
  • Identify and report process issues or unusual items to appropriate leaders to develop solutions.

Qualifications

  • Must consistently reflect professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous work experience in receiving, inventory, and/or shipping functions in a retail environment.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and office equipment, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web browsers.
  • Familiarity with USPS and other common carriers.
  • Knowledge of a jewelry point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
  • Capability to balance tasks such as climbing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and reaching for objects at or above floor level.
  • This position usually covers normal business hours but may require working occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The pay range for this role is:

20 - 25 USD per hour (Oakbrook Center)
