About the role


This position is for a Network Engineer in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a talented team to assist in the design, configuration, testing, implementation and oversight of the computer networks (primarily Juniper, but Cisco knowledge will be needed as well) that support our customers mission critical systems. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil. 



What you'll do

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain mainly Juniper (with some Cisco) network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, analyze traffic patterns, and optimize network performance using Juniper (and sometimes Cisco) tools and protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network solutions aligned with business objectives and security requirements.
  • Interface with the customer, leveraging strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.


Required Qualifications

  • DoD Secret Clearance at minimum, with TS/SCI eligibility
  • Willingness to work fully onsite and support rotating on-call work (as part of the support team)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Network Certifications (Network+, CCNA, CCNP, JNCP, etc) or equivalent industry certification
  • Familiarity with configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Juniper networking devices, including routers, switches and firewalls
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including BGP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs and routing protocols
  • Knowledge of security principles and experience with Juniper and Cisco security products


Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • Top Secret Clearance preferred (with SCI eligibility)
  • Juniper Networks Certification (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE)
  • Security Certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc) or equivalent
  • Jira and Confluence experience to include the Agile frameworks

Expected Salary Range


Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $110,000 and $150,000 per year.

We consider many factors when determining salaries including, but are not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education, training, certifications, key skills, and mission/customer familiarity. We combine these factors with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.
