About the role

This opening is for a Hardware and Logistics Engineer to support a new United States Space Force (USSF) program in the areas of hardware installation and logistics management. This position will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining hardware systems critical to the program and ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards. Additionally, this position will oversee the logistical aspects of procurement, distribution, and maintenance of hardware components, ensuring timely delivery and operational readiness.

This position will work closely with other engineers and program leadership to support the overall goals and objectives of the program. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil. 

What you'll do

  • Design, test, install, and maintain critical hardware systems and equipment to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards
  • Perform hardware engineering oversight responsibilities, including document reviews, peer reviews and change management boards
  • Manage outside vendors, leveraging understanding of system life cycle management and procurement process
  • Manage logistics and any associated risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure mission success
  • Proactively address issues related to transportation, storage, and infrastructure to minimize disruptions and maintain continuity of operations
  • Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including inventory levels, maintenance schedules, and supply chain transactions
  • Support delivery and receipt of engineered solutions to customer locations
  • Support facilities modifications to meet operational changes or upgrades
  • Ability to be flexible and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and projects 
  • Cable experience- installation of ethernet cables/ fiber cables, understanding of cable types, cable management, rack assemblies and power requirements
Required Qualifications
  • US Citizen with a current DoD Secret clearance or higher (current Top Secret, with SCI eligibility, is strongly preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field, or related experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience (and demonstrated proficiency) in hardware design, testing, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and technologies relevant to defense systems

  • Knowledge and experience in logistical processes, including procurement, inventory management, facilities modifications, distribution, and maintenance scheduling, to ensure smooth operation of hardware systems

  • Ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Ability to travel to install sites

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, regulations and security protocols

  • Experience with Jira/Confluence

Expected Salary Range

Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $120,000 and $180,000 per year.

We combine these factors with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.
