About the role


This position is for a Mission Instructor.  Work location will vary between Boulder, CO and Buckley Space Force Base (BSFB). You will be training Space Force Operators on the capabilities of the FORGE (Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution) MDPAP (Mission Data Processing Application Provider) program. You will have an opportunity to work with our customers and other Centil teammates to grow your skills.  Additionally, we will task you to introduce and champion techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility in the face of unpredictable circumstances.


This role is focused on providing training for a program which guides development and delivery of mission applications that support operational units around the world.  The person in this role will work within the organization to improve outcomes by defining training needs and objectives and delivering on those objectives. This person should possess strong technical expertise in mission data processing systems, excellent training and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of mission-specific requirements and standards. Additionally, this person should have an operational background supporting the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) community.  


What you'll do

  • Train Space Force Operators how to operate, manage, and troubleshoot mission data processing applications
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of the tools, software, and systems used within the MDPAP framework
  • Demonstrate best practices for data processing, analysis, and application deployment
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions to reinforce theoretical concepts with practical applications
  • Facilitate team-based problem-solving exercises to build collaboration skills.
  • Train Space Force Operators on industry and organizational standards for data processing and management


Required Qualifications

  • US Government Security Clearance (Secret at minimum)
  • 3+ years experience training, to include demonstrated ability to design and facilitate technical training to diverse audiences
  • In-depth knowledge of mission data processing systems, software, and tools
  • Familiarity with data security, compliance protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Demonstrated servant leader and collaborator with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), DoD or IC Systems


Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements for mission-critical data processing
  • Experience with Systems Engineering artifacts, such as requirements, architecture and CONOPS
  • Experience with integration, test and verification of IT systems
  • Experience with DevSecOps environments, CI/CD pipelines and tools – e.g. Jira and Confluence

Expected Salary Range


Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $120,000 and $160,000 per year.

We consider many factors when determining salaries including, but are not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education, training, certifications, key skills, and mission/customer familiarity. We combine these factors with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.
