About the role
This position is for a Network Engineer in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a talented team to assist in the design, configuration, testing, implementation and oversight of the computer networks (primarily Cisco) that support our customers mission critical systems. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil.
What you'll do
- Develop network designs and perform comprehensive analysis by leveraging experience with medium to large WAN networks
- Perform system engineering design, integration, and implementation in a development production and operational environment
- Configure network devices to perform capabilities needed, to include switching, routing, security boundaries, etc.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and investigate to resolve issues
- Interface with the customer, leveraging strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- DoD Secret Clearance at minimum
- Minimum 5 years of experience configuring, deploying and troubleshooting network LAN and WAN devices
- IP experience to include subnetting (IPv4 and IPv6)
- Experience with virtual routing and forwarding (VRF)
- Familiarity with High Assurance IP Encryptors (HAIPE®) and Crypto Modernization Compliant encryptors (e.g. TACLANE®-1G (KG-175F) & (KG-175X)
- Experience with NextGen Firewall (NGWFs) to include Cisco Firepower (FTD), and Palo Alto. This includes understanding firewall policies
- Experience operating in RedHat (RHEL) based environment
- Experience integrating VMware environments with the network
- Adept in using troubleshooting and performance management tools such as TCPDump, Wireshark, Infoblox NetMRI, Splunk, Gigamon, etc.
- Familiarity with Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (NIDS / NIPS)
- Experience in building from the ground up of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) and Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
- Running DISA STIGs on all network applications, switches, routers, and firewalls
- Strong experience with dynamic routing protocols to include BGP and OSPF
- Experience with exterior gateway protocol (EGP) such as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and interior gateway protocols (IGP) such as EIGRP and OSPF
- Strong understanding of Cisco ISE and TACACS+ configurations
- Jira and Confluence experience to include the Agile frameworks
Preferred/Bonus Qualifications
- Network Certifications (Network+, CCNA, CCNP, JNCP, etc) or equivalent
- Security Certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc) or equivalent
- Experience in building from the group up of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) and Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
- SAFe Certification on Scaled Agile

Expected Salary Range
Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $120,000 and $180,000 per year.
