About the role


This position is for a Scrum Master in Boulder, CO. You will be coaching product teams to improve value delivery to end users by facilitating collaboration, promoting innovation, and maintaining team organization. You will have an opportunity to work with our customers and other Centil teammates to grow your skills.  Additionally, we will task you to introduce techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility in the face of unpredictable circumstances.


This role is focused on guiding development and delivery of mission applications that support operational units around the world.  The person in this role will work within the organization to improve outcomes through coaching multiple teams on agile processes and daily workflow, managing risk and driving relentless improvement within these teams.  This person should have a good understanding of agile principles and frameworks, to include Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, as well as experience with analyzing an enterprise’s value stream map. This includes a dedication to the promotion of psychological safety that encourages meaningful communication between team members and their Product Owners. Additionally, this person should have an operational background supporting the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) community.  A successful candidate will have a strong focus on process and the end-user. 


What you'll do

  • Coach three Scrum teams to continually improve value delivery to the end user
  • Coordinate with Product Owner(s) on backlog priorities and discrepancy reporting
  • Prepare for and execute Sprint Reviews, Retros, and Planning
  • Run daily scrums as well as other Agile ceremonies
  • Develop strong professional relationships with individual scrum team members
  • Identify and resolve impediments at the scrum team level, or up channel impediments that cannot be resolved at the team level or that require additional visibility
  • Coordinate with Release Train Engineer (RTE) in advance of and during Program Increment (PI) Planning
  • Generate metrics that can guide team workloads and highlight areas for improvement


Required Qualifications

  • US Government Security Clearance (Secret at minimum)
  • 2+ years working within an Agile Framework and/or experience as a scrum master
  • Experience with and ability to support multiple software development teams simultaneously
  • Demonstrated servant leader and collaborator with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), DoD or IC Systems
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Live near or be willing to move to the Boulder, CO area since the work must be performed in the office


Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a Scrum Master / Agile practitioner role
  • Experience with Systems Engineering artifacts, such as requirements, architecture and CONOPS
  • Experience with integration, test and verification of IT systems
  • Experience with DevSecOps environments, CI/CD pipelines

Expected Salary Range


Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $120,000 and $160,000 per year.

We consider many factors when determining salaries including, but are not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education, training, certifications, key skills, and mission/customer familiarity. We combine these factors with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.
