About the role


This position is for a Network Engineer in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a talented team to assist in the design, configuration, testing, implementation and oversight of the computer networks that support our customers mission critical systems. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil. 

Please note: this role is required to be onsite in Boulder, details can be discussed during the interview process.


What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and support secure, high performance LAN, WLAN, and WAN networks
  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices and infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and system health
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure and network issues
  • Automate routine tasks and assess effectiveness
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
  • Implement and test security controls, including access management and disaster recovery
  • Partner with users to deliver effective network solutions
  • Optimize network performance, scalability, and capacity
  • Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation
  • Act as a customer facing technical resource and support additional duties as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • 8+ years of network engineering or administration experience
  • Expertise in data center network design, including spine leaf architecture
  • CCIE Data Center or CCNP (CCIE strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and OSI layer troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting LAN, WAN, firewalls, DNS, VLANs, IP addressing, and VPNs in on premises, cloud, and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Solid understanding of network security, authentication (TACACS, RADIUS), and access controls
  • Working knowledge of SANs and Fibre Channel environments; Dell or Brocade experience a plus
  • Familiarity with network operating systems (Cisco IOS preferred), and network monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, mentoring, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail


Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands on experience with Dell switches, servers, and SAN environments
  • Security+ certification
  • 5+ years of experience configuring and maintaining NAS and/or SAN systems

Expected Salary Range

Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $140,000 and $180,000 per year.

We combine these factors with market and business considerations to extend a job offer.
