Automation Support Engineer (NOC)

At Cerby we believe security is everyone’s business.  Collaborating across your apps doesn’t need to be chaos.  We are a mission-critical cybersecurity company that empowers your teams to operate securely and control their apps completely.  We’ve built our product on the idea that teams deserve autonomy over their work apps.  It turns out that why they are guaranteed a choice, security comes naturally.

More than 50% of all technology is spent outside of centralized IT organizations.  Individual business units are taking their technology destiny into their own hands, and we enable that.  End user onboarded applications are behind more than one third of all cybersecurity hacks.  We provide the solution to manage that through enabling users to select their own technology and we automatically protect those applications.

We're seeking an Automation Support Engineer to join our team and help monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance Cerby’s automation systems. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on supporting day-to-day automation operations, ensuring uptime, and continuously improving our automated flows.

What You’ll Do

  • Support day-to-day operations of Cerby’s automation platform, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Analyze and debug failed automation executions using logs, browser tools, and internal dashboards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and support teams to troubleshoot automation issues and escalate where needed.
  • Monitor alerts and automation queues to resolve errors and delays proactively.
  • Review and adjust XPath, selectors, or flow parameters to adapt to app UI changes.
  • Contribute to automation testing and quality assurance cycles.
  • Document known issues, root causes, and solutions in a support knowledge base.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in automation support, QA, NOC, or IT operations.
  • -1+ year working with JavaScript (TypeScript is a plus), coding, testing, debugging, and automation techniques.
  • Experience troubleshooting web technologies (HTML/CSS) using the browser’s developer tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with logs, error traces, and system outputs.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and JSON.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organized, process-driven mindset with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog), version control (Git), and ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
  • Available for on-call or rotational support schedules.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with RPA platforms or workflow automation tools.
  • Exposure to authentication mechanisms (e.g., MFA, OAuth).
  • Basic experience writing or maintaining test scripts.
  • Background in SaaS operations or identity and access management.
