Who is Certintell?

Founded in 2014, Certintell is a Care Management company that offers programs to Medicare, Medicaid, and Dual-eligible patients in partnership with medical clinics, pharmacies, and insurance providers. Certintell acts as a virtual care clinic by providing programs that improve access to care, reduce the cost burden of chronically ill patients, increase revenues to the Health Center, and can improve overall Value-based Payments (VBP) and other relevant outcome-driven ratings (e.g. HEDIS).

Job description

The Pediatric and Adolescent Transformative Health (PATH) Clinic is a 12-member collaborative that provides innovative structural mental health services to children, adolescents, and families on the west and southwest sides of Chicago. PATH is seeking a compassionate and dedicated licensed Clinical Psychologist to assess the needs of their patients. Based on the assessment results, this role will develop treatment goals and plans to meet the needs of pediatric patients. This role will provide direct patient care, which may include individual and group therapy. This position will also serve as a mental health resource within the clinic and its partners, supporting needs related to crisis, stress, or cultural issues.

*This position requires occasional travel to clinics*

Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures)

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to determine the developmental, cognitive and emotional needs of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment goals and plans based on the information obtained from the assessment instrument.
  • Provide evidence based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optional outcomes.
  • Participate in case consultation and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Serve as the mental health professional resource person for the collaborative in an integrated care setting.

Marginal Functions

  • Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by PATH and the respective department while adhering to the confidentiality norms and standards. Actively and consistently demonstrates the core values of PATH in all interactions with others.
  • Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Participates in performance activities including problem identification, data collection, solution selection, implementation and evaluation. Also assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies as appropriate.
  • Participates in staff meetings and other inservices, meetings or committees as required.

General Job Requirements

  • Licensed in Illinois, this position requires a well-trained and certified trauma therapist especially focusing on cognitive processing therapy for sexual trauma and PTSD patients. Preferably this person has received training in child psychology and is competent in psychological evaluations/assessment. This person would have experience working with patients on smoke cessation, substance abuse, binge eating, trauma recovery and other mental illness.
  • 10 or more years of clinical practice employed in community mental health agency, psychiatric hospital, substance addiction treatment center, university counseling centers, and private practice providing psychotherapy and psychological evaluations to a diverse patient population, with strong knowledge and clinical competence in multicultural psychology.
  • Must have a strong practice for treatments of pediatric population in the greater Chicago area. Must have the skills and experience to supervise, if needed, other Clinical Phycologists.

  • Dependability – the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.

  • Education: 5-6 Years of Education Leading to Masters Degree
  • Experience: 10-13 Years

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
