About the role


Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Business Analytics and Operations, the Senior Manager of Commercial Operations will drive the development and execution of the commercial data strategy, analytics infrastructure, business systems, business intelligence tools, and field operations capabilities. This role requires a demonstrated history of successfully selecting, implementing, and managing solutions within the commercial ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with cross-functional expertise and the ability to independently build and deliver solutions with minimal support and have working experience building solutions for a new product launch

Essential Functions


Data Strategy & Governance

  • Lead and execute the Commercial Data Strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and other key stakeholders.
  • Possess deep expertise in pharmaceutical data sets, including APLD Claims, DDD Sales, Payer Policy, EMR/EHR, Xponent, Plantrak, 852/867, Patient HUB, HCO/HCP Affiliation Data, CRM, Field Force Promotion, and other critical data assets.
  • Experience in data aggregation, tokenization, and integration across internal (Personal & Non-Personal Promotion) and external data sources.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and oversee the implementation of a robust data governance framework, including consent management and data security protocols.
  • Design and optimize the insights and analytics infrastructure, covering data warehousing, master data management, data security, lifecycle management, taxonomy, migration, and integration to ensure seamless data accessibility and user experience.

Business & Field Systems

  • Gather and translate business requirements from Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services into effective system solutions.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of business systems, including CRM, Analytics, Account Management, and others as required.
  • Manage end-to-end system delivery, including ongoing change management, documentation, and process optimization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Sales Force Effectiveness & Business Operations

  • Expertise in Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) processes, including Segmentation, Targeting, Call Planning, Alignment, Roster Management, and Incentive Compensation.
  • Drive go-live activities and continuous support by developing and delivering training materials and support programs in coordination with leadership and champion groups.
  • Lead Business Intelligence & Dashboard Development, ensuring the design, deployment, and optimization of analytics dashboards across HQ, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, Medical, and Field teams.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management


  • Oversee vendor and consultant partnerships, ensuring accountability and optimal service delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Legal, and IT to align strategies and initiatives.
  • Participate in budget planning and financial management for various projects and initiatives.
  • Drive organizational change and influence outcomes without direct authority by leveraging strategic insights and cross-functional collaboration.


Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a Computer Science, Information systems or business field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in commercial operations or a similar role within biotech, pharma, or consulting.
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience preferred, particularly in building infrastructure and processes from the ground up.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing commercial operations infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization and analytical tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional business acumen and the ability to navigate cross-functional environments in a fast-paced setting.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools.

The pay range for this role is:

153,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Remote)
