About the Role

Title: Senior Product Manager   

Reports to: VP of Product

Location:  Austin or Remote

As the Senior Product Manager at CharterUP joining a lean product team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the products in our suite of products. You will be responsible for advancing strategic initiatives, prioritizing features, and driving the end-to-end product development life cycle. You will focus on building trust among our clients while driving revenue and accountability across our network for bus operators. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that CharterUP remains at the forefront of innovation in the charter bus industry. This position reports to a VP of Product. 

What You'll Do

  • Product Initiatives: Lead product efforts across our charter bus platform, including passenger rider experience, and long-term recurring shuttles. Build features and capabilities supporting both passengers (demand-side) and bus operator (supply-side) experiences. 

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Understand user needs through direct feedback, data analysis, and Fullstory capabilities. Champion solutions that prioritize user experience and customer satisfaction.

  • Prioritization: Create and manage a roadmap for your product areas that outlines strategic initiatives, new features, and optimizations to meet the needs of customers, operators, and internal stakeholders. Make informed prioritization decisions based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact. Balance short-term requirements with long-term strategic goals. 

  • Feature Definition: Translate high-level concepts into detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications. Work closely with designers and developers to bring these concepts to life.

  • Collaborative Development: Drive Agile scrum development processes, collaborating with dedicated teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery every sprint. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retros.

  • Metrics & Analysis: Cultivate our data-driven mindset for decision-making. Define KPIs and success metrics to measure the impact of new features and improvements. Regularly analyze data to inform product decisions. Continuously analyzing user behavior and feedback to improve decision-making and prioritization 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate product advancements, progress, and results effectively to internal teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful digital products. Large-scale deployments, B2B, Rider/Shuttle Management, and/or travel industry experience is a strong plus!

  • Startup Mindset: Bias for action and with the ability to operate in an environment of extreme agility and high ambiguity.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with software development processes, Agile, Scrum, and technology concepts.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify challenges and break down complexity into incremental and creative solutions.

  • Data-Driven Approach: Proficiency in using data to inform product decisions and measure success.

  • User-Centric Focus: A passion for understanding user needs and delivering exceptional user experiences.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans and deliverables.
