WHAT YOU’LL DO. 

Art Directors at Chemistry make ideas visible. 

As our next Art Director, you’ve got the fundamentals down and you’re leveling up your craft. You’re generating more strong ideas, learning how to produce them, and understanding what separates good from great. You test. You tweak. You refine. 

On any given day, you will: 

• Concept and craft visually compelling ideas across platforms. 

• Partner closely with your Copywriter to build integrated campaign thinking. 

• Translate strategy into strong visual systems and executions. 

• Take feedback constructively and respond quickly. 

• Contribute ideas consistently — knowing volume drives quality. 

• Support production efforts and bring attention to detail to every deliverable. 

You’re not just designing assets. You’re shaping how brands show up in culture. 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR. 

Science tells us that the most effective Art Directors (and ideal candidates for this role) bring a mix of craft, curiosity, and resilience to the table: 

• The knowledge and instincts typically built through a combination of education/formal training and 1–3 years of experience in an advertising, digital, or media agency environment. 
• Mid level Art Director looking for growth and challenge.

• A portfolio that demonstrates strong design fundamentals and emerging art direction craft. 

• A clear understanding of how ideas move from concept to execution. 

• Initiative and a get-it-done mindset. 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

• Openness to feedback and a desire to continuously improve.
