Chesapeake Electric is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to help tell our story, drive brand awareness, and support the execution of marketing campaigns that connect with our customers and community. What You’ll Be Doing:


Strategy

  • Own and drive the overall marketing strategy to align with company growth goals across all business units
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing plan and budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across digital, traditional, and event channels.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to inform brand positioning, service offerings, and campaign messaging.
  • Lead brand development and management, including company voice, creative direction, and consistent identity across all platforms.
  • Support expansion initiatives, including entry into new markets, service lines, and potential new locations, with localized marketing strategies.
  • Partner with sales and service leadership to create alignment on messaging, sales enablement tools, and promotional strategies that convert leads to booked jobs.
  • Measure and report on KPIs across all marketing activities, using data to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Content Creation & Brand Messaging

  • Write and edit engaging content for social media, email campaigns, blogs, and print materials
  • Oversee and drive progress with vendors
  • Ensure consistent brand voice and visuals across all channels
  • Collaborate with the team on video, photography, and graphic needs

Campaign Coordination & Execution

  • Manage project timelines and work with vendors, designers, and internal stakeholders
  • Track results and provide performance reports
  • Support planning and execution of marketing campaigns and promotions

Social Media Management

  • Oversee and drive progress with vendors
  • Schedule and publish content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments or messages
  • Identify trends and opportunities to increase reach and impact

Website & Digital Support

  • Oversee and drive progress with vendors
  • Help manage website content updates and SEO best practices
  • Coordinate with external partners for technical improvements or paid advertising
  • Monitor analytics to improve user experience and performance

Event & Community Outreach

  • Assist with planning and promoting local events and sponsorships
  • Create supporting materials like flyers, signage, and giveaways
  • Represent Chesapeake at events and capture content for social


What You’ll Need to Be Successful Day One:

  • A shared commitment to Chesapeake Electric’s core values
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a creative eye for content
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools (Canva, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license

The pay range for this role is:

85,000 - 100,000 USD per year (Annapolis )
