About the role
Christ Covenant Church is seeking a full-time Men’s Associate to join our Young Adults Ministry, a role central to our calling as a gospel-centered family on mission to make Jesus known. This position is ideal for a leader with a passion for discipleship, a heart for young adults, and a deep desire to see others grow in their love for the kingdom and their commitment to live the mission.
Working closely with the Young Adults Pastor, the Men’s Associate will help equip and develop volunteer leaders, foster Christ-centered community, and advance our efforts in evangelism and discipleship. A core responsibility includes helping lead the Young Adult Lead Team, ensuring volunteers are well-supported, trained, and empowered for meaningful ministry.
This is more than a leadership role—it’s a chance to walk alongside young adults as they seek to know the Gospel, grow in their love for God’s kingdom, and actively live out their faith in everyday life. Clear responsibilities and performance goals will guide ongoing growth and accountability in partnership with ministry leadership.
What you'll do
- Tuesday Gathering
- Input connect cards and text visitors to the gathering (males)
- Provide general oversight of the gathering
- Evaluate logistics of Tuesday serve teams and provide feedback to team leaders
- Meet with 5-10 YA/week (goal)
- Participate in weekly YA debrief meeting
- Volunteer Team Leader/Manager
- Manage and supervise the Young Adults Lead Team
- Schedule and facilitate monthly YA Lead Team meetings
- Organize lead team meeting agenda
- Meet with and/or check in with lead team members on quarterly cadence
- Meet with prospective ead team members and send agreement form
- Lead Semi-Annual YA volunteer training
- Organize, schedule, and lead YA volunteer training
- Coordinate speakers for training
- Train all volunteers to share their faith
- Send reminder and follow-up emails to all volunteers
- Communicate lead team training responsibilities
- Teach volunteer makeup training
- Discipleship and Evangelism
- Counsel group leaders, YA lead team members, and YA volunteers as needed
- Build relationships with visitors, and schedule follow-up meetings with the men
- Actively share the gospel of Jesus
- Encourage volunteer leaders to walk in faithful obedience to the Lord
- Identify and develop future leaders
- Groups
- Facilitate YA small group leader encouragement dinner
- Check in with YA men’s group leaders on quarterly cadence
- Meet with prospective YA men’s group leaders and review responsibilities
- Events - Lead, schedule, and execute YA-specific, and some church wide events including, but not limited to the following:
- YA Crash Course
- YA Welcome Dinner
- Small Group Leader Appreciation
- Prayer Nights at Ottley
- Development
- Engage in teaching opportunities to grow in this area (when not conflicting with Young Adult responsibilities)
- Meet bi-weekly with the Young Adults Pastor
- General
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, teaching meetings, and annual Staff Retreat
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Manage relationship with staff, elders, and committees
- Ensure that all work efforts align with the stated staff values of Christ Covenant
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Prior ministry experience
- Bachelor’s (B.A.) in related field
- Understanding of and willingness to minister within the church’s statement of beliefs
- Character congruent with biblical requirements
