Temp Purchasing Coordinator

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE


The Temporary Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for procurement and logistics for the company. Purchasing Coordinator works closely with both company departments and vendors to ensure that materials and services are purchased & received on time and at an appropriate price. This a temporary role beginning June 2025 with an estimated end date of December 2025.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Order Management

  • Issue POs & follow-up with any updates
  • Ensure POs are received systematically in a timely manner
  • Vendor management: negotiate terms of sale with supplier, establish payment terms
  • Source materials & services based on the department’s needs
  • Make sure that POs are issued in the most efficient way in terms of cost, lead time, product/service quality, supplier
  • Request prepayments when needed and follow up to make sure that accounting has received all documents needed for payment
  • Assuring that all necessary documents are received from the vendors/departments & filed appropriately
  • Communicate with accounting/vendors on invoice or quantity discrepancies
  • Monthly order reconciliation, reporting

Logistics

  • Coordination of order transportation & follow up with any issues or update
  • Work with logistics to communicate the most cost effective and timely mode of transportation for all inbound and outbound shipment
  •  Handle all miscellaneous shipment needs within the department
  • Work with receiving to ensure all packages are delivered to the proper area
  • Communicate priorities to shipping when needed
  • Forward all tracking numbers to receiving parties

Department Support

  •  Handle Supervisor’s procurement related requests
  •  Runner for the department within CH area

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC’s and typical software applications with an emphasis on Excel but to include Word, Outlook, SharePoint, database packages, project management and other applications.
  •  Excellent communication, organizational and customer relations skills.
  •  High attention to detail
  •  Ability to work independently without supervision to get tasks done.
  •  Managing other employees is not a requirement.
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time, some walking. Employees are regularly required to talk and/or hear. Employees will be expected to repeat much of the physical motions throughout the shift that may include use of their feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. This work will involve a variety of hand operations requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention. The employee must be able to carry and/or lift up to 15 lbs. if needed.

The pay range for this role is:

23 - 26 USD per hour (Hollywood )
