SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role will focus on the support, implementation, and management of our corporate desktop environment, with a key emphasis on modernizing our desktop support practices. The technician/analyst will utilize tools like Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to establish standardized processes and ensure a secure, efficient, and user-friendly desktop experience for all employees. In addition to overseeing desktop support, the role will involve hands-on support for our Hollywood HQ site and contribute to ongoing IT initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Desktop Support and Management: Provide comprehensive support for corporate desktop systems, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Intune and Autopilot Implementation: Working with the IT Infrastructure team, drive the deployment and management of Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to streamline device provisioning, policy enforcement, and remote management.
- Standardization and Imaging: Develop and maintain standardized desktop images, configurations, and procedures to ensure consistency across the organization.
- Application Library Management: Working with the IT Infrastructure team, curate and maintain a corporate app library, ensuring the smooth deployment and timely renewal of business-critical applications.
- Corporate App Store: Administer a corporate app store for the efficient distribution of software and applications to employees.
- Asset Management: Track and manage corporate hardware and software assets to ensure compliance and optimize resource allocation.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the setup of new hires' desktop environments and ensure secure deactivation and property collection of systems for offboarded employees.
- Documentation and Training: Create and maintain clear and thorough documentation for IT processes and procedures; train employees as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex desktop-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions to employees.
- Assist with Ongoing IT Initiatives: Contribute to larger IT projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall technology strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in desktop engineering or related roles.
- Strong understanding of desktop support best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and "soft" skills to foster collaboration and effective communication across teams.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell for task automation and management.
- Microsoft certifications, such as M365 or Desktop Administrator Associate. (preferred)
- Experience with other Mobile Device Management (MDM) or imaging technologies. (preferred)
- Prior experience working in a large, complex corporate environment. (preferred)
