JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- Software architecture and design, including documentation
- Capture and analyze system requirements
- Develop, deploy, and maintain C# applications that include:
- Winforms or WPF-based UI
- Background services
- Integration with enterprise databases
- Design and develop data-driven applications
- Use and managing source control systems (Git)
- Database development administration (Oracle, SQLServer)
- Operating system administration (Windows, Powershell)
- Troubleshoot database and reporting platforms
- Implement and manage software security and access control (SAML)
- Participate in multiple projects concurrently and collaborate with cross-functional team
- Lead new technology initiatives in industrial applications
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build software tools and develop and modify existing apps to support production and engineering operations.
- This individual will be a member of the software team.  They take direction from a team lead and software engineers.  Work on pieces of the various software programs and databases. 
- Team has daily standup meetings and weekly technical review meetings.  Most of the other time will be focused work.  Individual will have a mentor to help learn and take direction from.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years' experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Software Engineering
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Advanced Technical Background
- A degree in Advanced Computer Science to ensure foundational depth in computing principles.
- Python competency for scripting, automation, and data analysis.
- Experience with Power BI for building insightful dashboards and reports.
- Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Familiarity with automated software regression testing to maintain software reliability and performance.
- Practical experience with historian and OPC clients for industrial data connectivity.
- Exposure to SCADA systems like FTOptix and Wonderware Archestra for real-time control and monitoring.
- Proven track record in supporting manufacturing operations, ensuring system uptime and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system design and documentation.
- Experience in software architecture design and implementation to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity to safeguard industrial systems.
- Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) to deliver iterative value.

- Strong customer focus with the ability to identify and deliver incremental value.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
