Job Title: Clinical Program Director HLOC (PHP / IOP)

The Director of PHP/IOP oversees the day-to-day operations, clinical quality, and strategic growth of
Clarity Clinic's Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program. This leadership role
requires a balance of clinical expertise, operational acumen, and team management to ensure
exceptional patient care and program effectiveness. The Director will collaborate with multidisciplinary
teams, provide guidance to clinical staff, and drive initiatives to optimize the quality and outcomes of
PHP/IOP services.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and oversight of the PHP/IOP programs, ensuring adherence to evidencebased practices and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines that align with
Clarity Clinic's mission and values.
• Collaborate with executive team to set strategic goals and expand services to meet community
and organizational needs.
• Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate innovative approaches to enhance program
offerings.
• Supervise and support clinical staff, including clinical supervisors, therapists, prescribers, and
case managers, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
• Monitor program utilization, capacity, and efficiency, making data-driven decisions to improve
operations.
• Oversee scheduling, staff allocation, and workflow to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Collaborate with billing, administrative, and operational teams to address challenges and optimize
reimbursement processes.
• Hire, train, and evaluate PHP/IOP staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work
environment.
• Oversee treatment planning, group facilitation, and therapeutic interventions, ensuring they meet
client needs and align with program goals.
• Review clinical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
and Joint Commission standards
Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
• Must be fully licensed to practice independently in the state of Illinois with one of the following
licensures: LCSW/LCPC/LMFT or PsyD.
• 2+ years of clinical leadership experience.
• Experience in working in an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) or Partial Hospitalization (PHP) setting,
working with groups, families, and individuals.
• Experience working with an array of populations, diagnoses, including co-occurring disorders.

practices.
• Talent Development and Supervision - Leads recruitment, onboarding, and development for all
team members. Mentors staff to foster a culture of growth, high performance, and continuous
learning.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration - Facilitates collaboration across departments, building strong
internal and external partnerships to support integrated patient care.
• Ethical Practice and Integrity - Promotes a culture of ethical practice, ensuring that all team
members uphold high standards of integrity and professionalism in patient care and operations.
• Patient-Centered Care - Prioritizes patient well-being and experience in all aspects of care
delivery, championing advocacy and quality care initiatives.
• Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement - Streamlines operational processes, enhancing
efficiency, minimizing bottlenecks, and improving overall service quality.
• Clinical Expertise and Knowledge - Demonstrates advanced expertise in clinical practice, keeping
current with treatment advancements, best practices, and emerging therapeutic approaches.
• Outcome Measurement and Reporting - Establishes metrics to track and report on program
success, using outcome data.
• Crisis Intervention and Response - Oversees crisis management protocols, ensuring that staff are
prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Training Development and Implementation - Designs, implements, and evaluates training
programs to enhance clinical competencies and professional skills across the team. Ensures
training aligns with organizational goals and reflects best practices for quality care.
• Change Management and Adaptability - Guides the team through organizational changes,
fostering resilience and adaptability. Develops strategies to support staff in adjusting to new
policies, protocols, and workflows.
