Role:

Associate Consulting Manager, Financial Reporting (Workiva)

Location:

  • Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX. Other cities are welcome remotely.
  • Office Options: Hybrid or Remote. Team members residing within a 45 minute commuting radius of a Clearsulting office, we expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules. 
  • Travel Expectations: 5 %


What you'll do

  • Own the successful delivery of one or more workstreams within Workiva implementation and optimization engagements. Lead end-to-end execution across complex projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration oversight, testing, user acceptance, training, and deployment.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and competing priorities simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Proactively manage engagement economics, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build trusted relationships with client executives and project sponsors, serving as a strategic advisor throughout the engagement. Leverage industry and implementation experience to provide practical guidance, identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes, and support business development through engagement expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing project teams by providing coaching, effective delegation, and constructive feedback. Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment that supports professional growth and consistently delivers high-quality client outcomes.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance consulting leading or supporting Workiva implementations, or equivalent experience in corporate financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes and Workiva capabilities across one or more of the following: SEC/SEDAR reporting, management reporting, operational reporting, GSR reporting, or private company reporting.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, optimizing, or administering Workiva solutions, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced consulting environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex business and technical concepts into clear, executive-ready recommendations.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience leading Workiva implementation projects across the system development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Project management experience, including work planning, milestone tracking, budget and scope management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communications, and change management.
  • Experience leading teams by mentoring, coaching, and developing junior consultants while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CPA, CMA, PMP, or Workiva certifications.
  • Experience with adjacent financial systems and technologies (e.g., ERP platforms, disclosure management, consolidation, or EPM solutions).

The compensation range for this position is $106,000-$132,000 USD. We are committed to ensuring our offers reflect the value each candidate brings to the role. Final salary placement will be based on upon several factors, including, level of expertise, relevant work experience, technology certifications, educational background, geography and alignment with industry standards. This role is eligible for our bonus program.
