Club Capital Tax Division
Our Tax Division is responsible for: tax planning, preparation, and filing of both individual and company tax returns for Club Capital Clients. This is a full time role as strategic tax planning has no season.
Tax Accountant
Overview of Position:
As a Sr Tax Accountant at Club Capital you will manage a team of staff accountant(s) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of taxes within your client portfolio. This position requires solid technical knowledge of both personal and business tax returns, and the ability to work with a minimum of assistance, making decisions on all but the most unusual matters. The Sr Tax Accountant will lead and instruct staff accountants in the work to be performed, review work, and direct revisions. Our Tax Division is responsible for: tax planning, preparation, and filing of both individual and company tax returns for Club Capital Clients. This is a full time role as strategic tax planning has no season.
Responsibilities:
Client Engagement
Ability to engage with clients to discuss their tax situation, options for tax savings and optimization, tax season preparation, and the ultimate delivery of the client’s tax return(s).
- Conduct ongoing consultations and planning sessions with our clients
- Prepare our clients for tax season and take actions on areas where they can optimize their tax returns
- Manages the tax planning check-ins with clients
- Ensures that their respective team members are executing on the work required to ensure the above are met
Tax Compliance
Own the completeness, accuracy, and tax optimization for your client portfolio.
- Scope out the work required to complete the tax return(s)
- Review and approve the returns prepared by your team
- Adjust, where required, any representations on the tax return
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance

- Ability to manage a high volume of clients with poise. A tax accountant can expect a client portfolio of up to 150 clients in a given tax season.
- Requirements:
- Active/valid certified public accountant’s (CPA) license or enrolled agent (EA) REQUIRED
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Tax Accountant reviewing business tax filings
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and varying tax returns
- Experience with 990 tax preparation is highly preferred
- Knowledge of tax software and MS Office
- Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
- Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Analytical skills with detail orientation
- BS in Accounting or MS in Taxation
