Technical Product Owner - International Liaison

Expected Normal Working Hours: 4:30/5:30amET – 1:30/2:30pmET or 5:00pmET – 1:00AMET (Approximate). 

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner to join our dynamic team as the International Liaison, bridging the communication and collaboration gap between our US-based Product Team and our Project Manager and Development Team in India. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and product aspects, as well as excellent communication and coordination skills to ensure seamless collaboration across time zones and cultures. 

Experience in or exposure to golf course operations and maintenance practices is highly preferred, as our product suite serves the golf industry and benefits from domain-specific insight. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Communication Hub: 
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Product Team in the US and the Designer/Development Team in India. 
    • Facilitate regular meetings and check-ins to ensure effective communication and alignment on project goals, timelines, and priorities. 
  • Requirements Gathering: 
    • Work closely with the US-based Product Team to gather detailed product business requirements. 
    • Translate requirements into user stories and technical specifications and communicate these requirements to the Development Team in India, ensuring a clear understanding of project expectations. 
  • Collaboration and Coordination: 
    • Foster a collaborative environment by promoting open communication and knowledge sharing between teams. 
    • Coordinate sprints, releases, and project timelines, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards common goals. 
  • Technical Understanding: 
    • Develop a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the taskTracker products and projects to effectively communicate and bridge the gap between the Product and Development Teams. 
  • Issue Resolution: 
    • Act as a mediator in case of conflicts or issues that may arise between the India team and other team members, working towards quick and effective resolutions. 
  • Quality Assurance: 
    • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure that product releases meet quality standards and are aligned with user expectations. 
  • Feedback Loop: 
    • Establish a feedback loop between the two teams to continuously improve processes, enhance collaboration, and address any challenges faced in the development lifecycle. 
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform other responsibilities pertaining to the product, as assigned. 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.). 
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role. 
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural and/or remote team environment a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
