What You'll Do

Passionate about your career in SEO and helping local businesses grow? Coalmarch is looking for an SEO Strategist to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC. As a SEO Strategist, you’ll join the SEO team, working closely with our Accounts team to brainstorm creative SEO strategies, generate year-over-year growth for our clients, communicate progress to clients, and ultimately retain accounts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining creative SEO strategies and tactics for our home service clients with the ultimate goal of improving their organic traffic, leads, and keyword rankings year-over-year.
  • Owning your client's entire holistic SEO strategy, which includes content optimization & messaging, website structure and hierarchy, keyword research and mapping, internal linking, on and off-site optimization, link building, competitor research, Google Business Profile management, and more.
  • Monitoring client performance and working closely with Account Strategists to ensure that client’s organic goals are being monitored and met, and that performance improvement plans are being created and implemented when they are not.
  • Communicating with clients directly on strategy calls to relay SEO strategies, performance, opportunities, threats, and solutions.
  • Assisting with key projects in the organization related to cross-team collaboration, reporting/Analytics, SEO strategy, product initiatives, software, and more.
  • Staying up-to-date on updates and shifts in the SEO industry as well as client-wide trends, and knowledge sharing with key groups across the organization.
  • Leveraging a variety of SEO tools to identify performance opportunities for clients, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, WhiteSpark, AHREFs, BrightLocal, and more.

Qualifications

We believe to be successful in this role, you should bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant SEO experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a strategic SEO role
  • Core foundational knowledge of SEO principles, Google's algorithm, and local vs. national or global SEO
  • Marketing agency experience preferred but not required

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 60,000 USD per year (Raleigh, NC)
