UK-Based | 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off Rotation
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Wind Turbine Technician to join our growing Special Projects Department. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys challenging work and working on high-profile wind energy projects across the UK.
Operating on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, you will be part of a specialist team delivering major corrective works, retrofits, upgrades, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and technical projects on a wide range of wind turbine platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, can work independently and as part of a team, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical, electrical & hydraulic maintenance on wind turbines
- Support special projects including major component exchange, retrofits, and upgrades
- Diagnose and troubleshoot turbine faults and performance issues
- Perform inspections and corrective actions in line with OEM standards
- Complete detailed service reports and documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures
- Travel extensively throughout the UK as required
- Support site mobilisation and project delivery activities
- Work effectively within small specialist teams under varying site conditions
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Wind Turbine Technician
- Strong mechanical, electrical & hydraulic background
- Valid GWO certificates (Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, First Aid)
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and professional attitude
- Ability to work at height and in challenging weather conditions
Desirable Experience
- Experience with major component exchange projects
- OEM platform experience (Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, Senvion or similar)

Location
This is a UK-based rotational role with frequent travel to wind farm sites across the UK.
