Pediatric Shift LVN - Santa Clara County

  • San Jose 95112 - 4 week old baby girl diagnosed with premature infant of 36 weeks gestation age, Trisomy 18, Dandy walker malformation, Horseshoe kidney, congenital heart disease, underfeeding of newborn, oropharyngeal dysphagia, NG tube and oxygen dependent. We are seeking a compassionate nurse to care for a medically fragile infant with a complex genetic diagnosis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting a family through an evolving medical journey, with an emphasis on comfort, quality of life, and family-centered care. Pediatric experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right nurse who demonstrates strong clinical skills, compassion, and emotional resilience. Responsibilities include providing all medical care to patient including ADLs, administering scheduled feeding via NG, providing PRN and scheduled NG care including changes, administering all scheduled and PRN medications and providing all pulmonary care as ordered and PRN.

All training is done by placing you in the home with a trained nurse and learning 1:1 with full pay. Full time is considered 30+ hours a week. We take all major holidays off! Apply for more information.

Qualifications

  • LVN license in the state of California
  • Proficiency in basic life support and patient care
  • Ability to assess and provide nursing care to pediatric patients
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy
  • Willingness to work in home health settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in a home setting, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering basic life support as needed.
  • Manage tube feeding, and medication administration, while maintaining accurate electronic health records.
  • Collaborate with families and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on health management and safety practices.
