The Accessory Shop Manager provides overall leadership and management of the turbine engine accessories shop, ensuring effective execution of all maintenance activities. This role is responsible for achieving production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide leadership and direction to shop personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Report regularly to the Director of Shop Operations on shop performance, challenges, and achievements.
- Ensure production requirements are met efficiently, with strong emphasis on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with department directors, program managers, and production control to plan and prioritize internal and external work, production schedules, and resource needs.
- Promote employee skill development through on-the-job training and coordination with the training department to address development needs.
- Verify that all work records are accurate and complete, ensuring compliance with applicable data, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Oversee proper maintenance, calibration, and accountability of shop tools and equipment; ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and FOD-free.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and safety, reduce waste and cost, and improve turnaround times using effective problem-solving techniques.
- Manage shop budget and ensure expenditures remain within established financial guidelines.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations, recommend promotions and compensation adjustments, and participate in hiring decisions.
- Plan for future staffing and skill requirements and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or management education preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft or turbine engine maintenance.
- Experience with Columbia Model 107, Model 234, or similar military aircraft preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance processes, and manufacturing practices.
- FAA certification under FAR Part 65 required; eligibility for maintenance release and inspection authorization preferred.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is strongly preferred.
- In-depth understanding of repair station procedures, quality management systems, and applicable FAA and international aviation regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to train, coach, and motivate employees.

- Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements as a U.S. Person.
