The Calibration Services Technician is responsible for the proper inspection and handling of Measuring & Test Equipment (M&TE) and documentation as required by the FAA and company policies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains all necessary electronic files and paper copies as per M&TE requirements.
  • Creates and receives pack-ups of M&TE from remote locations.
  • Maintains inventory of M&TE to include pictures and checklist of kits.
  • Provides email correspondence with shops, aircraft crews, and external vendors as necessary.
  • Coordinates with internal shops and external vendors for onsite and offsite calibrations services.
  • Assists the Calibration Services Lead in prioritizing daily operations.
  • Conducts oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for his/her business processes, addressing both technical as well as business obstacles to achieve his/her business objectives. Coordinates with management or stakeholders for guidance and direction to overcome obstacles and/or update procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is desirable
  • Ability to locate, read, and understand technical data with attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Comfortable working in an environmentally controlled room without windows
  • Ability to work with a team or individually with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and flexible to meet work priorities, scope, or schedule
  • Ability to clean parts using chemicals, forced air, and personal protective equipment
  • Willing to learn to operate a forklift and be available as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and effectively utilize other software applications
