The Aircraft Painter Assistant will support the painting operations for aircraft components and structures. This individual will be responsible for properly cleaning, masking, preparing, and painting aircraft, aircraft parts and articles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, taping, masking, sanding, and priming as needed in a high-volume production environment
• Assist with painting parts and components when needed
• Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications and manufacturer's instructions
• Maintain and clean painting tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
• Proper handling and application of chemicals and chemical agents used in the painting processes.
• Assist in moving and arranging materials and equipment
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a painter or paint helper preferred, but not required
• Basic knowledge of painting techniques and tools
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment while working efficiently and providing a quality product with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
