As an IT Engineer, you will support Columbia’s IT and Cybersecurity teams, empower employees and advance the company’s technological initiatives. You will collaborate with Helpdesk Technicians, Systems Administrators, aircraft operations, and other teams to troubleshoot, maintain, monitor systems, execute projects, and more. This role reports to the IT Operations and Cybersecurity Manager.


This is a hybrid position, working remotely and/or on-site in Aurora, Oregon. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Support global IT operations through incident analysis, ticket resolution, user support, and project execution.
  • Automate processes using tools, technologies, and scripting to improve team and organizational efficiency.
  • Assist with planning, recommending, and implementing new hardware, software, and IT solutions.
  • Escalate and resolve tickets while supporting onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Monitor and manage service desk tickets effectively.
  • Deploy and set up electronic equipment as required.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all work performed.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and uphold the Company’s Core Values.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR
  • 5+ years of experience in IT client services/helpdesk support, systems administration, networking, or equivalent education/training.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Server environments (Azure, Entra, Purview, Intune, Defender, etc.) and IT security best practices.
  • Experience with networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPN, TCP/IP, VoIP, and remote access.
  • Proven success in customer service.
  • Ability to manage dynamic workloads and competing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to recommend improvements, take initiative, and work independently
